| Description | St Pete for Peace, a non-partisan anti-war group brings awareness to the atrocities our government is committing in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, and Iraq. We support the people of Latin America as they fight for equality and basic human rights. We say "No" to foreclosures and the government sponsored bailouts of Wall Street and the U.S. banking system. We are against police brutality and support efforts to house and feed the homeless. We reach out to the community in several different ways. We are part of a new weekly radio show on WMNF 88.5 FM featuring socially-conscious, politically provocative music with some talk. Past shows can be accessed from the archive 24/7 by clicking here. We also show a free film every Wednesday night at an outdoor cafe in St. Petersburg. Film topics include U.S. militarism, environmentalism, political processes, and other global areas of concern. More information on the weekly film series can be found here. And finally, we participate in weekly protests throughout the Tampa Bay area and are pleased to be joining larger unified protests throughout the state of Florida. Free film at Cafe Bohemia.
