| Description | Thomas Ruppel ist begeisterter Amateurfotograf. Seine Leidenschaft gilt insbesondere der Available Light Fotografie, also Fotografie bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen sowie der Street Photography. Die Vorliebe zur Fotografie bei ungewöhnlichen Lichtverhältnissen, etwa während der Dämmerung, in der Nacht oder am frühen Morgen entdeckte Thomas Ruppel im Rahmen von Workshops bei der Fotografin Meike Fischer. Die besonderen Herausforderungen dieses “dunklen Hobbys” reizen Thomas Ruppel besonders. Durch die außergewöhnlichen Arbeitszeiten lässt es sich zudem perfekt mit Berufstätigkeit und Familienleben verbinden. Die Fotoserie “Gloomy Frankfurt” wurde 2008 im virtuellen Ausstellungsraum des Internetportals “straßenfotograf.de” gezeigt. Die Serie “Eindrücke bei Nacht” wurde im Oktober und November 2010 in der Galerie im Foyer des Eschborner Rathauses gezeigt. Thomas Ruppel ist Bankkaufmann und IT-Projektmanager. Geboren 1965 in Königstein/Taunus, erforscht er seit vielen Jahren mit der Kamera seine heutige Heimatstadt Eschborn – am liebsten in der Nacht. |
