| Description | La Ligue de l'enseignement a été créée pour soutenir la création en France d'une école publique et laïque. Aujourd'hui La Ligue est un réseau de 35000 associations locales agissant dans de multiples domaines. Dans un contexte où, partout en Europe, autour de faits survenus il y a deux ou trois générations, des conflits de mémoire se développent, la France semble avoir du mal à digérer son histoire et tend à criminaliser son passé, voir le passé des autres. Comment gérer ces conflits ? L’Etat a-t-il le droit de déterminer la « vérité historique » ? Pour certains, les lois mémorielles reconnaissent des délits qui menacent l’ordre public, au même titre que le racisme. C’est donc le rôle du Parlement de faire se concilier toutes ces mémoires dans un souci de cohésion nationale. Pour d’autres, ces lois sont une atteinte à la liberté de recherche et l’histoire est instrumentalisée quand elle n’est plus écrite que sous la pression de groupes de mémoire. |
