| Description | Barton County Community College was formed in 1965 as a comprehensive community college through an election by the people of Barton County, Kansas. The College is accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges and its applied science programs are accredited by their respective associations. The College is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges and is approved as a Servicemen's Opportunity College.
